Lives Changed
Youth in foster care are more than just the statistics people hear about them. They are living stories, each one desperately in search of a happy ending.

Johnny
Malachi
Meet Johnny and Malachi, two of the many lives that are being changed by the support and involvement of Atlanta Children’s Foundation and its partners.
These exceptional young men entered foster care at ages 9 and 10. The siblings were introduced to THE Village in 2007, where they attended its residential summer camp. Having never been formally adopted, they entered THE Village’s Transitional and Independent Living Program at 18 years of age.
Johnny, now 22, and Malachi, 21, work with foster children during our residential summer camp, where they serve as a camp counselors. Johnny is currently pursing formal training in early-child development, and plans to enlist in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Malachi currently attends North Georgia Technical College, where he is studying to become a chef.
