Uthara graduated from New York University (NYU) with a B.A. in Public Policy and is a Community Development Advisor for Purpose Built Communities. In her current role, she supports local community development organizations focused on revitalization efforts in the disenfranchised communities across the country.
Having previously served as the Director of Operations at Atlanta Children’s Foundation (ACF), Uthara continues to serve ACF by building relationships with partner organizations and serving as an advocate and Life Coach for children in care.
While she has served in management roles, she consistently approaches her work through an equity and community empowerment lens. The quote that guides her work is, “Give a man a fish, he will eat today, but teach a man to fish and he will eat forever.”
